Qualifications for the IFSHA HOTY Program:
Horse and Horse Owner/Lessee, Junior Exhibitor, must be a member of IFSHA in Good Standing for the current competition year.
Points that qualify for this program must be earned at a USEF/IFSHA recognized event for the current competition year, December 1, through November 30.
Points for Open HOTY must be earned at ADS, USDF, USEF Competitions.
Horse must have earned at least 50 points to apply for that respective category.
Points must be filed either on-line or manually with the IFSHA office within 30 days of the last day of competition. Back dating will not be permitted, scores for the IFSHA Regional and National competitions will be entered for you. If you have participated in competitions not hosted by IFSHA, you must enter or submit those scores yourself. You can enter your scores through the IFSHA website. Instructions for entering your show scores can be found here. If you are unable to enter the show points online, you can send them to the IFSHA office. There is a fee of $3.00 per show if the show results are entered by the IFSHA Office. All show points entries are subject to review and acceptance by IFSHA.

IFSHA records, tabulates and maintains point records for the purposes of its own "Horse of the Year Awards" and specific "USEF HOTY Special Programs" only. Although IFSHA uses its best efforts to insure that the points as recorded by IFSHA on its web-site and elsewhere are accurate, IFSHA assumes no liability to anyone for any errors or omissions whatsoever. Anyone who uses these points for IFSHA purposes or for any other purpose is hereby notified that IFSHA disclaims any and all liability and responsibility, including for negligence, with respect to these point tabulations and records.
Exhibitors are in the best position to ascertain the accuracy of their points and are urged to check IFSHA's tabulations against their own competition results and to do so regularly. Competition records for the current competition year are available to the owner upon written request signed by the owner at no charge and may be sent by regular mail or e-mail.
Any errors discovered should be promptly directed to the IFSHA Office, by mail or electronic mail with supporting documentation in writing, if available; upon timely reporting and verification, corrections will be promptly made. Corrections must be submitted to the IFSHA office prior to the end of the current competition year, corrections submitted after the competition year will not be accepted.
